Here is another example of remodelling on a small budget. The original boxes were again painted by the homeowner, and all the doors and drawers were refaced with solid wood that was proffessionally finished to match the new wall colour.
The peninsula was upgraded to include a new open storage area on the end, and a new overhanging marble counter top was incorporated for casual dining and gathering. Isn't it astonishing what a difference a few well planned changes can make?
